Srinagar, Oct 24 (Reporter) A non-local labourer was injured in a suspected militant attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district Thursday morning, officials said.
Officials said Shubam Kumar, a resident of UP was shot and injured in a militant attack at Batagund village early this morning.
“ The injured with a gunshot injury in his hand was shifted to hospital ,” they said, adding his condition is stable
Soon after the incident, senior officers of Police and security forces reached the area and a hunt was launched.
However, a senior police officer said they are assessing details.
“ It is not clear yet if it was a terror attack,” the officer said.
This is the third attack on non local workers in the last one week.
On Sunday evening seven workers including a Kashmiri doctor of an infrastructure company were killed in Ganderbal district in one of deadliest attacks on civilians in Kashmir in recent past.
Security agencies on Wednesday released the photographs of two suspected foreign militants involved in the Sunday terror attack.
The photographs were developed from footage recorded by CCTV cameras installed inside the camp in the Gagangeer area in Ganderbal.
