New Delhi, Mar 16 (Reporter) Management Education & Research Institute (MERI), an affiliated institute of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, announced on Saturday plans to offer scholarships to Bhutani students enrolled in its Janakpuri campus as well as its other educational campuses located in other parts of the country.
The Vice President of the MERI group of institutions, Prof. Lalit Aggarwal, made the announcement at the India-Bhutan Friendship Association meeting in Delhi today, graced by Bhutan’s Prime Minister, Dasho Tshering Tobgay.
Prof. Aggarwal, a key association member, discussed the long-standing friendship and potential collaborations between the countries.
In the meeting, the decades-long friendship of both countries, possibilities of ties with different fields, etc. were discussed at length.
Bhutan’s Prime Minister praised MERI’s offer and the association’s efforts in fostering bilateral relations.
The association’s half-yearly magazine, ‘Bhutan Panorama,’ edited by Prof. Aggarwal, was presented to the PM during the meeting.
