Jammu, July 31 (Reporter) Deputy Inspector General, Traffic, Jammu, Dr Haseeb Mughal on Wednesday asked his subordinates to maximise use of electronic gadgets and body worn cameras and be people friendly.
Taking a review of the Traffic challenges in Rajouri-Poonch Range in addition, the DIG also discussed proposed deployments for the forthcoming Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra were also discussed threadbare.
Dr Mughal visited district Rajouri and chaired a meeting with officers along with SSP traffic Rural Jammu Vinay Kumar Kullar.
During the meeting, he imparted necessary directions to all the officers and jawans regarding Traffic Policing and challenges ahead.
He advised the officers and officials to maintain personal security and security of fellow officials and emphasised that the need of the hour is to keep a high vigil around and contribute actively in maintaining overall peace in the area.
Directions were also imparted on officers and officials for maximising the use of electronic gadgets and body worn cameras when on duties and also stressed on people friendly policing and emphasized on engaging religious, community heads, NCC and others for traffic rules awareness in public.
The top cop also briefed officers and officials regarding the upcoming Shri Buddha Aamanath Yatra and directed all to gear up for Yatra duties.
SSP Traffic rural Jammu, Vinay Kumar Khullar stressed on discipline, right code of conduct while performing duties.
He briefed the officers to put focus on quality challaning speciallyon overloading, overspeeding, drunken driving and use of Mobile phones while driving.
Earlier, DySP traffic Rajouri-Poonch Nawaz Ahmed presented a welcome address and briefed about day-to-day functioning of traffic police.
The challenges and issues of traffic police in general were also brought to notice of the senior officers besides good work and achievements during the year were also highlighted.
A successful and smooth yatra convoy movement is required on part of Traffic Police and especially cut off timing be maintained at each stop/Langer points, stressed the DIG during the meeting and asked them to maintain a close coordination with District Police and other sister agencies for a better sense of Traffic on roads...////...
