Srinagar, Oct 9 (Reporter) A massive search continued on Wednesday to trace a missing Territorial Army (TA) soldier who went missing during an anti militancy operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Tuesday, the Army said. Official sources said on Tuesday two TA personnel had gone to a forest area in Sheikhpora Chattragul to verify certain input and reportedly came face to face with militants. “One of the TA soldiers managed to escape and fell down the hill. He got injured but managed to reach his unit. The other TA soldier was abducted,” official sources said. The Army Srinagar based Chinar Corps said the soldier went missing during a joint counterterrorism operation, following which a massive rescue and search operation is in progress to trace the missing soldier. “Based on intelligence input, a joint counterterrorism operation was launched by the Indian Army along with @JmuKmrPolice and other agencies in Kazwan Forest, Kokernag, on October 8.
