Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that mass marriage programs are excellent examples of harmony, unity, and frugality in society. He said that the marriage of many couples under a single canopy is a symbol of social awareness and changing mindsets.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav virtually participated on Thursday from the Chief Minister’s residence in a mass marriage event held in village Rajakhedi Bajaria (Makronia) of Naryawali assembly constituency in Sagar district. Under the Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana, a total of 1,119 couples were married under one canopy in this mass marriage event. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav blessed the newlywed couples and wished them a happy married life.
Dr. Yadav said that mass marriages are now being gladly and easily adopted by society, which reflects a positive change in the mindset of our society. This is highly commendable and worthy of emulation. He said that such marriage events reduce the financial burden on both the bride’s and groom’s families and also strengthen social unity.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav made an affectionate appeal to all to adopt this progressive thinking and to encourage harmony, cooperation, and simplicity in society. He said that under the Chief Minister Kanyadan Yojana, marriages of lakhs of couples have been conducted so far. This scheme is like a boon for families in need. He told the bride and groom to take advantage of all government schemes and move towards a bright future. Our government is concerned about employment and the interests of all.
