Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that mass marriage programs reflect the government’s commitment to helping every daughter in the state begin a new chapter of life with dignity and respect. He emphasised that such programs support economically weaker families and significantly promote social unity, communal harmony, and inclusiveness in society.

Dr. Yadav participated virtually from the Chief Minister's residence in the mass marriage event held in Bagli Assembly Constituency of Dewas district. During the program, 230 daughters were given away in marriage and 15 in nikah ceremonies, marking the beginning of their new lives.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the state government is consistently working for women's empowerment and social justice. He said efforts to make women self-reliant are ongoing. In the annual budget for 2025–26, a provision of ₹27,147 crore has been allocated for the welfare and development of women and girls in the state. It is a matter of satisfaction that the state's gender budget has doubled over the past six years. This year’s budget includes ₹18,669 crore for the Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana and ₹1,183 crore for the Ladli Laxmi Yojana.

To promote women’s participation in government employment, up to 35% reservation is provided for women in Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission recruitments. Due to a 50% reservation for women in local body elections, half of the local bodies in the state are now led by women. The government is also offering concessions on land registry in women’s names, which has resulted in 45% of new property purchases being made in the name of women.

Dr. Yadav further said that various pension schemes are helping to ease women's lives. Through nearly 5 lakh self-help groups, more than 62 lakh rural women have become self-reliant.

Blessing the newly married couples, especially the daughters, the Chief Minister encouraged them to take full advantage of government schemes to progress and contribute to the betterment of families and society.

The event in Bagli was attended by Member of Parliament Shri Mahendra Singh Solanki, event organiser and Bagli MLA Shri Murli Bane Singh Bhawar, Zila Panchayat President of Dewas Smt. Leelabai Bhairulal Atadia, along with other public representatives, the newlyweds, and their families.
