Palakkad, July 28 (Reporter) Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Kerala Police have arrested Maoist leader Soman of Kalpetta in Wayanad district. Sources said ATS arrested Soman from nearby Shoranur railway station premises late Saturday night. Soman was acting as the Commander of Nadukani Dalam, a Maoist group functioning in Kerala since 2012. He was involved in many UAPA cases including attack on the Police and the Police served a "wanted" notice against him. The ATS team arrested Soman around 2300 hrs on Saturday and took him to Ernakulam for interrogation. More details are awaited. Meanwhile, the ATS arrested another Maoist Manoj, a member of the Kabani dalam Maoists group leader from Ernakulam last week.
