Manipur Police apprehend Myanmar-trained militant; recover stolen vehicles

Imphal, July 16 (Reporter) Security forces in Maniour arrested an active cadre of a proscribed outfit, who received military training at a militant camp in Myanmar, during a late-night operation yesterday. The arrested suspect, a 23-year-old resident of Laingoubi Maning Leikai under Kumbi police station in Bishnupur district, was apprehended from his residence. Authorities said the cadre had undergone a 30-day basic military training at a militant camp located in Myanmar. Meanwhile, Manipur police continue its sustained crackdown on vehicle-related crimes. Police today said police recovered four stolen two-wheelers from the Lilong Alia Lamkhai area under Lilong police station in Thoubal district. Police also arrested a suspected vehicle lifter from the Lilong Tamyai IV Road area...////...
