Bengaluru, May 13 (Reporter) A man was arrested here for allegedly posting abusive content on Instagram targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Joint Commissioner of Police (East) Ramesh Banoth said on Tuesday. The accused, identified as Nawaaz, a resident of Electronic City and a computer mechanic by profession, had allegedly uploaded a post on May 11 containing derogatory remarks against the Prime Minister, including a threat suggesting that a bomb should be planted near the PM’s residence. "Upon receiving the information, a case was immediately registered and the accused was apprehended on Monday," Banoth said. Preliminary investigation revealed that Nawaaz also has a criminal background, with a previous case registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in Tumkuru district.
