Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the newly enacted criminal laws, designed to address present-day challenges, represent a historic step toward making the Indian judicial system more democratic. He emphasised the importance of spreading awareness about these laws and the new procedures introduced to ensure a more accessible, supportive, and efficient justice delivery system. Dr. Yadav directed that awareness campaigns be conducted to familiarize the general public with the updated legal provisions and procedures at the earliest. He also stressed the need to upgrade systems in all institutions connected with the justice system. These instructions were given during a review meeting on the new criminal laws. Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajora, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Shri J.N. Kansotia, Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana, and other senior officials were present at the meeting held at the Ministry.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasised the need for comprehensive training in the use of modern technology for personnel across police, jail, prosecution, judicial, and forensic departments. He stressed the importance of strong coordination among all stakeholders at every level. Ensuring the availability of essential arrangements, equipment, and physical infrastructure must be given top priority. Dr. Yadav also highlighted the need for effective measures to curb crimes related to real estate. He directed that revenue officials, in collaboration with the police, remain alert and proactive. Special attention should be given to areas, particularly urban regions, where land values are rising rapidly, with enhanced coordination between the departments involved.
