New Delhi, Jan 12 (Reporter) Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Friday ordered a major reshuffle within the Delhi Police just days ahead of Republic Day. The transfer order is issued for 27 officers, including 25 Indian Police Service officers and two DANIPS (Delhi, Andaman, and Nicobar Islands Police Service) officers. The new Special Commissioners of Police will now be in charge of the divisions of law and order, crime, traffic, special cells, and security. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) level officer has also been transferred with immediate effect. IPS Deependra Pathak has been transferred from the Special CP Law & Order (Zone I) Division to Special CP Security. Whereas, IPS Rajendra Pal Upadhayay has given the charge of Special CP of the special cell to the Special CP of Perception Management & Media Cell Division & Ops (Additional Charge of Special CP/Lic. & Legal Division). Virendra Singh, IPS of Batch 1991, has been transferred from Special CP Traffic (Zone-I) to Special CP/Licensing (Additional Charge of Legal Division). IPS of Batch 1995, Ravindra Singh Yadav, has been given charges to oversee the Special CP Law & Order Division (Zone-I) from Special CP/Crime. IPS Madhup Kumar Tiwari has been transferred to the Special CP Law & Order Division (Zone-II) from Special CP/Protective. Whereas, IPS Shalini Singh of Batch 1996 has transferred from Special CP EOW to Special CP of the Crime Division. IPS Sagar Preet Hooda has allotted the charges of Special CP/Ops (PCR& Communication) (Additional Charge of Perception Management & Media Cell Division) from Special CP/Law & Order Division (Zone-II). IPS Hargobinder, Batch 1997, has given the charge of Special CP of Traffic (Zone-II) to Special CP of the Special Cell (L/A charge). IPS Surender Singh Yadav has been transferred from Special CP/Traffic (Zone-II) to Special CP/EOW. K. Jegadesan, IPS of Batch 1998, has been transferred to Special CP/Traffic (Zone-II) from Special CP/SPUWAC & SPUNER.
