Pune Mar 13 ( UNI) The forecast given by the India Meteorological Department stated that a heat wave has hit Vidarbha region. The temperature in most districts of the state has crossed 40 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature in the state was recorded in Akola at 41.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Due to the heat wave, the average maximum temperature has increased by three to six degrees. While the minimum temperature has also increased by two to four degrees. "Due to dry weather throughout the state and hot winds coming from the north, a heat wave warning has been issued in Vidarbha for the next two days. Accordingly, the mercury has reached above 40 degrees Celsius in some districts of Vidarbha and Madhya Maharashtra," IMD said. The heat wave warning issued by the India Meteorological Department in Vidarbha has come true and the temperature in six out of 11 districts has crossed 40 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Akola on Wednesday. This is the first time this summer that the mercury in Vidarbha has crossed 41 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in the cities of Akola, Brahmapuri, Chandrapur is rising rapidly. At the same time, the cities of Nagpur and Wardha are also starting to heat up. The IMD has issued a heat wave warning to some cities in Vidarbha from March 11 to 13. This year, summer began in the state even before Holi. The temperature has reached above 40 degrees in most districts of Vidarbha. In Madhya Maharashtra, Pune recorded a temperature of more than 40 degrees.
