The temperature in most districts of the state has crossed 40 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature in the state was recorded in Akola at 41.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Due to the heat wave, the average maximum temperature has increased by three to six degrees. While the minimum temperature has also increased by two to four degrees. "Due to dry weather throughout the state and hot winds coming from the north, a heat wave warning has been issued in Vidarbha for the next two days. Accordingly, the mercury has reached above 40 degrees Celsius in some districts of Vidarbha and Madhya Maharashtra," IMD said.
