Nagpur, Mar 28 (Reporter) Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to city on Sunday, an SPG team arrived here on Friday to review security arrangements.
Modi is coming to Nagpur after recent riots in the city. He will visit the memorial in Reshim Bagh area, which is close to the riot-hit area.
A team of Special Protection Group has arrived in Nagpur ahead of the Prime Minister's visit and reviewed the security arrangements here, said Maharashtra BJP spokesperson Sandeep Khardekar.
After arriving in Nagpur on Sunday morning, Modi will visit the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's Smriti Mandir, Deekshabhoomi, Madhav Netralaya and other places.
Since Modi's convoy will pass through Reshim Bagh area, the shops in this area will again be closed for three days from today.
The team, led by the DIG, held discussions with city police commissioner Dr Ravindra Kumar Singal and senior officers and inspected the places where the Prime Minister is going to visit, he informed.
A detailed planning was made about the security arrangements at all four places as well as the route of the visit, Khardekar added...////...
