Solapur, June 22 (Reporter) A doctor was arrested by police for allegedly inappropriately touching a woman in the name of medical examination at the primary health centre in Shirapur village of Mohol taluka in the district and molested her on Sunday. The incident occurred when a woman had gone to the primary health centre in Shirapur village of Mohol taluka to get a medical fitness certificate, police said. While conducting the examination, Amit Gaikwad, a doctor at the health centre, touched the woman in an obscene manner in the name of examination. The woman was scared by this sudden incident, but she bravely reached the Mohol police station and filed a complaint against the doctor. Based on the complaint of the woman, the Mohol police have registered a case of molestation against Dr Gaikwad and arrested him.
