Mumbai, Aug 15 (Reporter) Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare informed on Thursday that more than 1.62 crore women have registered for the 'Chief Minister's Majhi Ladki Bahin' scheme in Maharashtra till August 14, of which more than 80 lakh eligible women have received the benefits so far. The process of disbursing the benefits of first installment of the 'Majhi Ladki Bahin' scheme has started from August 14, she said and informed that benefit of Rs 3,000 for two months has been deposited in the bank accounts of 80 lakh women in the state so far. The rest of eligible women will get benefit till August 17, she said.
