Maha: Deputy CM Shinde criticises ex-CM Uddhav Thackeray

Mumbai, Apr 3 (Reporter) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena (Shinde) Eknath Shinde on Thursday strongly criticised former chief minister and Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray for opposing the Waqf Amendment Bill, claiming that UBT has permanently abandoned Hindutva and Bal Thackeray’s thoughts. Addressing a press conference here, he further claimed that UBTs leadership has become ideologically confused due to the Waqf Bill and his future has become dark. He said that UBTs anti-Waqf Bill stance has brought down the dignity of his colleagues who follow Balasaheb's views. Describing Uddhav Thackeray (UT) as use and throw, Shinde said that he criticised him continuously for two-and-a-half years, but he responded to the criticism with work. He further said that Balasaheb always supported patriotic and nationalist Muslims and opposed anti-national Muslims, similarly, BJP also took the same stance. He claimed that "we are moving forward with the thoughts of Balasaheb and that of Anand Dighe. We will never compromise with these thoughts." But, by living in the shadow of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, UBT is repeatedly reminded of Jinnah, Shinde charged and noted that now, the sand has shifted under his feet.
