Maha: Demands of Rs 35,788 Cr made on 1st day of Assembly

Nagpur, Dec 16 (Reporter) Demands of Rs 35,788 crore were raised on the first day of the winter session of the Maharashtra Assembly on Monday. Of this, a supplementary demand of Rs 1,400 crore was submitted by the Mahayuti government for its popular Ladki Bahin Yojana. This provision has been made to meet the technical aspects of this Yojana, but no provision has been made to increase the monthly benefit from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100 as promised during assembly election campaigning. An additional provision of Rs 655 crore has been made for Mumbai Metro. Furthermore, the state government will give Rs 3.36 crore for installation of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Rajkot in Gujarat...////...
