Maha: Cabinet takes 10 major decisions

Mumbai, June 17 (Reporter) The Mahayuti (BJP alliance) government, headed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, on Tuesday took 10 major decisions in the Cabinet meeting held here, including approval of the Maharashtra Agriculture-Artificial Intelligence (MahaAgri-AI) Policy and waiver in stamp duty on lease agreement between the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) and other agencies in Dharavi Redevelopment Project. The government gave its nod for transfer of 52 hectares land at Jambutke village in Nashik district to Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation for Tribal Industrial Cluster. With setting up of this cluster, budding entrepreneurs from the tribal community will get encouragement, besides generating employment and boosting economic development. The government gave relief in stamp duty on land required for the joint project of MMRDA and M/s Raigad Pen Growth Centre Ltd. This is the first major project in the state through public-private partnership and the growth centre will attract foreign investment. The government also decided to waive off stamp duty on transfer of land required for Maharashtra National Law University in Mumbai at Mauje Pahadi Goregaon. The university will get a self-owned building. Educational facilities will be available for thousands of students. The Cabinet also gave its sanction for waiver in stamp duty on lease agreement between the special purpose vehicle (SPV) and other agencies in Dharavi Redevelopment Project. Since it is a big project for the public interest, the rehabilitation and redevelopment plan will gain momentum. The implementation of the plan will be done in a smooth manner. The Cabinet also took a decision to set up Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) at the Gram Panchayat level under the WINDS (Weather Information Network Data System) project of the central government. For this, it has been decided to extend the deadline of the Mahavedh project. The AWS is expected to provide accurate weather information to all the villages in the state.
