Pune, Feb 22 (Reporter) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday made a frontal attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of making a mockery of the central government's Jan Dhan scheme. Speaking at a programme held for distribution of approval letters and the first installment to 20 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde here, he said that when the BJP government had launched the Jan Dhan scheme that provided a platform for universal access to banking facilities with at least one basic banking account for every household, Rahul Baba had questioned the scheme and alleged that the money of people in such accounts has been siphoned off. "But, today, money was deposited in 10 lakh people's accounts at once on a single day. This is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's miracle," taunted Shah. He said that the dream of citizens of owning a house is being fulfilled. Providing a house, electricity and food grains to everyone in the country is Prime Minister Modi's concept of developed India, he said. Not a single political leader in the country has done the work of providing houses and foodgrains to 60 lakh people in a decade, said the Home Minister while addressing the gathering. Shah praised the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra, saying it has also done good works. "Big works are going on in many areas," he added. CM Fadnavis also spoke on occasion...////...
