Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Government of Madhya Pradesh is deeply committed to agricultural development and the welfare of farmers. The state is introducing innovations in productive activities and creating new records in the agriculture sector. Madhya Pradesh has earned several national awards for record production. The State secured first position in pulses production, second in food grains, and third in oilseeds. The area under triple-cropping has also increased significantly in the state.
To discourage stubble burning, effective steps have been taken across districts. Various initiatives implemented through the Departments of Agriculture, Horticulture & Food Processing, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection, have markedly improved the economic condition of farmers.
