Madhya Pradesh has played a significant role in the construction of the Shri Ram Temple at Ayodhya. This contribution has now become a part of history. The information was shared during the recently held Mining Conclave by Shri Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Managing Director of Hindustan Copper Limited. He informed that copper extracted from Madhya Pradesh’s mines was used in the temple’s construction.

Hindustan Copper Limited Chairman Shri Singh said that copper is an eternal metal, with a long and ancient history of use in India. He added that the company had donated 32 tonnes of copper for the construction of the Shri Ram Temple. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also expressed his happiness in his address at the Conclave on this fact and praised Hindustan Copper Limited. He said that copper has always been closely associated with human life—an association even greater than that with gold and silver.
