Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that a Cabinet meeting was held in Maheshwar, the historic capital of the Holkar rulers, situated on the banks of the sacred Narmada River on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilya Bai. He highlighted the legacy of Devi Ahilya Bai and Rani Durgavati, both of whom set remarkable examples of women empowerment while establishing good governance and resisting foreign invaders. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Cabinet proposed significant decisions regarding women’s policy, rooted in the four pillars of support: the poor, youth, farmer and women. Among these decisions, the prohibition of alcohol in 19 religious towns and gram panchayats was prioritized, recognizing alcohol as a social evil that adversely impacted families and communities. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Cabinet before the meeting, reiterating the importance of these initiatives for the betterment of society.
