Madhya Pradesh has reached a significant milestone in wildlife conservation by declaring Madhav National Park in Shivpuri as the state’s 9th Tiger Reserve. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while announcing the establishment of India's 58th and Madhya Pradesh’s 9th Tiger Reserve, emphasized India’s rich biodiversity and deep-rooted respect for wildlife. He reiterated the central government’s unwavering commitment to wildlife and environmental conservation.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav symbolically released a tigress into the reserve, marking the launch of the new sanctuary. He highlighted that while developing the new tiger reserve, special attention will be given to maintaining the coexistence of various species. Stressing that it is not a zoo but a natural open habitat, he stated that it would be accessible to wildlife and the general public. This initiative will strengthen tiger conservation efforts and contribute to preserving biodiversity. The Chief Minister also stated that the nine Tiger Reserves in the state would elevate Madhya Pradesh’s natural tourism to new heights.
