Srinagar, July 24 (Reporter) Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha laid a wreath and paid homage to Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Naik Dilwar Khan, who laid down his life during an anti-terror operation in Kupwara.
“I salute the indomitable courage of our braveheart, who made supreme sacrifice for the nation. His valour and sacrifice will never be forgotten. The entire nation stands firmly with the family of the martyr in this hour of grief,” the Lt. Governor said.
The wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Srinagar-based Chinar Crops headquarters in Badamibagh cantonment today.
The soldier, a NCO, was critically wounded during an ongoing anti-militancy operation in the Trumkhan forests of frontier Kupwara and later succumbed to his injuries at a medical facility, officials said...////...
