Low-pressure area likely to form over central parts of South Bay of Bengal on Dec 7

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), Dec 6 (Reporter) A cyclonic circulation lies over the Equatorial Indian Ocean & adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal and extends up to 3.1 km above mean sea level. Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over central parts of the southern Bay of Bengal around December 7. The system is likely to move west-northwestwards and reach overthe southwestt Bay of Bengal off Sri-Lanka – Tamil Nadu coasts around December 12,the Meteorological Centre said on Friday. Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.
