Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has assured that all losses incurred due to heavy rainfall and floods will be duly compensated. “There is no need to worry — the government is with you,” said the Chief Minister, adding that a detailed survey will be conducted for each affected family, and compensation will be provided. The aid amount will be directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) system.

CM Dr. Yadav made these remarks during his inspection of rain and flood-affected areas in Guna on Monday. He also reviewed the relief and rehabilitation efforts underway across the district. Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia accompanied him during the visit. Both leaders interacted with residents by visiting homes in affected localities such as the Cantonment area and Patel Nagar, listening to citizens’ concerns.

CM Dr. Yadav visited rain-affected families at Pawan Colony on New Tekri Road and assessed the situation firsthand. He stated that the recent heavy rainfall has broken a 32-year record in the district, creating an unprecedented situation. He commended the administration’s prompt and coordinated response in tackling the crisis. Notably, 170 citizens, including an elderly woman from Guna’s New City Colony, were successfully rescued.

Due to rising water levels in various reservoirs, relief operations were intensified. The Chief Minister informed that a 70-member team from the NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) carried out intensive rescue operations. Relief efforts, including the distribution of food packets, the establishment of temporary shelters, and the distribution of essential supplies, were conducted with the joint efforts of social organizations and the administrative machinery.
