Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, on Saturday visited the residence of former minister Shri Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya in Bhagat Singh Nagar, Gwalior to participate in the collective Govardhan Puja. He emphasized the cultural importance of cow worship and Govardhan Puja, noting that Lord Krishna conveyed the message of connecting with nature through the act of lifting Govardhan Mountain. Dr. Yadav stated that the state government is committed to advancing cow conservation with this same spirit. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted that India has a rich tradition of celebrating festivals, with Govardhan Puja holding special significance. He emphasized the importance of cow conservation for strengthening the economy and urged farmers to engage in the dairy business through cow rearing, assuring them of government subsidies.
