Bhubaneswar, Aug 17 (Reporter) As many as nine people died and several were injured in six districts in Odisha in lightning here on Saturday. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed profound grief over the death and expressed his sympathies to the bereaved family members. The Chief Minister directed officials to pay an assistance of Rs four lakhs to the kin of each of the deceased. Majhi prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and announced that the state government would bear their medical expenses.
