Srinagar, Feb 18 (Reporter) The doctors at the Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag removed a large worm from the nostril of a 12-year-old boy on Tuesday.
The boy who was brought to the hospital reported to the department with a tail-like thing protruding through the nostril.
After examination by ENT resident Dr Kishan, it was suspected that a large snake-like worm lay inside the nose of the boy, a statement issued by the hospital said
The case was thoroughly discussed with the Head of the Department (HOD) ENT Dr Aamir, following which suction was applied, and a very large "snake-like worm" was extruded from the nose.
“The specimen will be sent to the forensics laboratory for confirmation of the exact nature of the worm”, Dr Aamir said.
