Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the innovations undertaken by the Labour Department for the welfare of workers are commendable. He stressed that labour welfare activities should be accelerated and departmental schemes and works must be reviewed regularly.
CM Dr. Yadav was reviewing the activities of the Labour Department and its affiliated institutions at a meeting held at Samatva Bhavan, Chief Minister’s Residence, on Saturday. He appreciated the inclusion of a large number of eligible beneficiaries under schemes like Sambal. He praised the initiatives for registering workers in the unorganised sector, developing the E-Shram portal, and creating employment opportunities for youth through Yuva Sangam. He also noted the innovative step of designing logos that reflect various dimensions of labour welfare.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed that capable construction agencies, including the Police Housing Corporation, should be engaged in building Shramodaya Vidyalayas and other labour welfare-related infrastructure. Priority should be given to agencies delivering the best results.
CM Dr. Yadav emphasised that comprehensive reforms in the labour sector are essential to ensure inclusive economic development and employment generation in the state. He said that transparency in Gram Sabhas, combined with the use of technology, will ensure smooth and effective implementation of labour welfare schemes and timely delivery of benefits to the intended beneficiaries.
