Moscow, Aug 9 (Reporter) Ukraine has lost up to 4,240 personnel in the area of operations of Russia's Yug (South) group of forces in the past week, the Russian Defence Ministry claimed on Friday. "The Ukrainian armed forces lost up to 4,240 service people, one tank, six armoured combat vehicles, 47 vehicles, a Croatia-made RAK-SA-12 MLRS launcher, and 47 field artillery guns, of which 18 howitzers and 155 mm self-propelled artillery units were manufactured by NATO countries," the ministry said, adding that the Russian troops also repelled seven Ukrainian counterattacks. Russian troops of the Zapad (West) group have repelled nine Ukrainian counterattacks, and Kiev has lost up to 3,260 soldiers, the ministry said, adding that the enemy has lost up to 1,650 soldiers in battles with Russia's Sever (North) group of forces. Russia's Vostok (East) group of forces has repelled four counterattacks, and Kiev has lost up to 760 servicepeople in the past week, the ministry said.
