Hyderabad, Mar 4 (Reporter) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KTR has called on the state government to regularise flats through the LRS program without imposing any charges on the public.
Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad on Monday, KTR demanded that Deputy Chief Ministers, Ministers, including Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, fulfill their promise to eliminate LRS charges and regularise it without financial burdens on the people.
KTR criticised the Congress leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Batti Vikramarka, who once opposed LRS charges, accusing them of implementing the program solely to extract money from the pockets of the state's residents.
He expressed concern that the state government is pressuring applicants with direct phone calls to pay LRS fees before March 31, likening it to draining the blood of the people.
Challenging Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy's previous stance of "no LRS - no BRS," KTR questioned how the Congress leader, who had promised free resolution of the issue, would respond to the current situation.
KTR demanded answers from other Congress ministers, including Women Welfare Minister Sitakka and Roads and Building Minister Komati Reddy, who had previously criticised the LRS program.
KTR condemned the Congress party for allegedly burdening the 25.44 lakh beneficiaries who applied for the LRS program with a financial load of at least one lakh rupees, accusing the government of attempting to loot Rs 20,000 crore from the entire state.
Expressing discontent with the changing stances of Congress leaders, KTR announced protest programs across the state on the sixth of this month, urging the government to implement LRS without charges.
He warned that if the state government fails to fulfill its promise, legal actions will be pursued in the future...////...
