Hyderabad, Dec 18 (Reporter) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) has written an open letter to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, demanding a discussion in the State Assembly on the alleged irregularities surrounding the Formula-E race. KTR accused the Congress-led government of spreading false propaganda and urged the CM to bring clarity to the matter through a transparent debate in the Assembly. In his letter, KTR stated that the Congress government had been making baseless allegations against the previous BRS government, particularly targeting him, over the Formula-E race issue. Reports suggested that the topic was extensively discussed in a recent Cabinet meeting, and media leaks indicated potential cases being prepared with Governor approval. "The truth about this matter should come out before the four crore people of Telangana through a debate in the State Assembly," KTR wrote, challenging the government to bring the issue to the public domain. KTR defended the BRS government's decision to host the Formula-E race, stating it was done with the noble intention of benefiting Telangana and Hyderabad. He highlighted the success of the 2023 race, which, according to a Nielsen report, contributed Rs 700 crore to the state’s economy. However, he criticized the Congress government for canceling the planned 2024 race immediately after coming to power, calling it a move motivated by political vendetta. "The Formula-E race agreement was completely transparent, and all payments were made with integrity. I have explained this earlier, but your government continues its false propaganda," KTR said. He added that the event brought significant goodwill to the state and Hyderabad and lamented that the Congress government sacrificed such initiatives for political gains. Demanding an Assembly debate, KTR stated, "Let us present all the facts to the people of Telangana. Since the Assembly session is ongoing, you can schedule this discussion at your convenience. A detailed discussion will reveal the truth to everyone." KTR reiterated that there were no irregularities in the race and emphasized the need for transparency, urging CM Revanth Reddy to end the speculation and misinformation by addressing the matter publicly in the Assembly...////...
