Moscow, Dec 18 (Reporter) Russia's Zapad (West) group of forces has eliminated up to 540 Ukrainian military personnel over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Wednesday. "The Ukrainian armed forces lost up to 540 service people, an infantry fighting vehicle, a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, a Polish-made Rosomak armored personnel carrier, and two pickup trucks," the ministry said in a statement. Russia's Tsentr (Center) group of forces has repelled 11 counterattacks, eliminating up to 440 Ukrainian soldiers, while the Yug (South) group of forces has eliminated up to 350 Ukrainian soldiers.
