Chandigarh, Nov 27 (Reporter) Haryana minister Anil Vij took a dig at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday, saying while the world is advancing, the veteran leader wants to take the country back to the Stone Age.
Vij’s remarks came in response to media questions about Kharge’s statement on Constitution Day, where he had said, "We don’t want EVMs; we want voting through ballot papers."
Sharply reacting to the remark, he referred to it as Kharge’s preference for outdated methods.
"Decisions in the Stone Age were made with stones. Kharge is talking about regressing," he said.
He also mocked the Aam Aadmi Party, stating, "They have their own set of rules, and they should
not even attempt to pronounce the word ‘constitution.’"
Vij was responding to AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s statement, "When God realised that the Constitution was in danger, He created the Aam Aadmi Party on Constitution Day,"
lashing out at AAP, Vij said, "Kejriwal’s party neither respects the Constitution nor the Courts nor Autonomous bodies. They have their own set of rules and should not even try to pronounce the word ‘constitution...////...
