New Delhi, July 8 (Reporter) Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Monday strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the army convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district. They expressed deep anguish over the martyrdom of soldiers and conveyed condolences to the bereaved families. Taking to his social media handle X, Kharge said, "Deeply anguished at the martyrdom of our 4 brave Indian Army soldiers in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua. 6 Jawans are also injured". "No amount of whitewashing, fake claims, hollow boasts and chest-thumping can erase the fact that Modi Govt remains a disaster for the National Security in J&K". "When PR becomes an aim, gathering security intelligence through statecraft becomes a casualty," Kharge said. While stating that this was the fifth terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir in a month, Kharge said, "The security situation in Jammu and Kashmir is on a downward spiral". The senior leader said, "Our resolve to stand with the nation against terrorism remains resolute". Kharge said the party unequivocally condemned this cowardly terror attack on the Army convoy in the strongest possible terms.
