Kerala CM opens 4th anniversary celebration of LDF govt

Kasaragod, April 21 (Reporter) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday inaugurated the state-level celebration marking the fourth anniversary of the consecutive Left Democratic Front (LDF) government led by him, at Kalikadavu ground. The CM criticized the Union government for what he described as a "negative attitude" towards the Kerala government during the crises faced by the state. He alleged that the Central government not only denied the necessary assistance but also attempted to obstruct support extended by other parties. He emphasized that it was the duty of the Central government to support the state during a crisis, but the BJP-led Central government was misusing its authority to block the aid during natural calamities. He said when the LDF government came into power in 2016, it aimed to end a “dark era” in Kerala history and usher in consistent development across all sectors. He credited the unity of the people for overcoming various crises and asserted that Kerala was now progressing steadily in every field, with the people's continued trust in the LDF government. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the ‘Ente Keralam’exhibition and trade fair as part of the event. The anniversary celebration will conclude on May 30 at Thiruvananthapuram, following a series of district-level events across the state.
