Bengaluru, May 5 (Reporter) BJP leader R Ashoka has delivered a strong message to sitting Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, cautioning that there will be repercussions regardless of his success in the Lok Sabha elections.
Ashoka's declaration surfaces amidst escalating accusations of sexual misconduct against Prajwal, who currently purportedly is in Germany.
Ashoka, who also serves as the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Karnataka, directed criticism towards Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, accusing him of facilitating Prajwal's departure to Germany.
"We have consistently demanded accountability from HD Revanna and Prajwal. The government's tardy response is concerning. Why did Siddaramaiah endorse Prajwal's candidacy in Hassan for the past five years?" Ashoka questioned.
In the political landscape of Karnataka, JDS aligns with BJP as part of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Earlier, the Karnataka Police apprehended HD Revanna, former state minister and Prajwal Revanna's father, following his implication in the alleged case.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the Karnataka Police took HD Revanna into custody based on a kidnapping complaint filed by the son of a former domestic worker associated with their household.
