Kolkata, Feb 28 (Reporter) Kaliagnaj assembly constituency MLA Soumen Roy, who won on a BJP ticket in 2021 assembly poll and switched over to ruling TMC four months later, returned to the saffron brigade on Wednesday, announced leader of opposition Suvendu Adhikari. Roy had crossed over to the ruling party in September, after winning the Kaliaganj seat ( North Dinajpur) in May 2021. Roy's return to the lotus symbol happened in the run up to the Lok Sabha poll likely to take place in April-May. Addressing a media conference, Adhikari said the BJP's central leadership has agreed to Roy's appeal to rejoin the BJP.
