Patna, Feb 25 (Reporter) RJD leader Sunil Singh expressed his pleasure saying justice ultimately prevailed after his Council membership was restored by Supreme Court on Tuesday. Singh's membership was terminated for doing mimicry of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on July 26 last year. The RJD leader, while reacting over the Supreme Court judgement restoring his membership of Bihar Legislative Council, said that justice had ultimately prevailed. It was gross injustice meted out to him by terminating his membership on flimsy ground on instruction from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he pointed out. "I had raised the issue of youths, farmers, poor and underprivileged in House ", Singh said, adding that there was no fault on his part in branding Chief Minister Kumar, " Paltu Ram ". For his repeated political " U " turns, even Google search engine identified Kumar as " Paltu Ram ", he stated. As it is, Singh had done the act of mimicry of Chief Minister Kumar before him in House on February 13, 2024 during heated exchange between opposition and ruling parties. Singh had even called " Paltu Ram " following which the issue of his unruly behaviour was handed over to Ethics committee for investigation. He did not appear before the committee and remained defiant despite several notices issued to him. Another RJD MLC Mohammad Qari Sohaib was just suspended for only two days for the same offence as he had appeared before the committe and tendered unconditional apology. Singh, on the other hand did not tender apology, nor did he appear before the committe. He had approached the court for relief...////...
