Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that journalists are the true warriors of democracy. Along with being seekers of knowledge, they work tirelessly to bring important information to the common people. He was addressing the three-year, two-day grand convention of the Working Journalists’ Association at the Morena district headquarters on Wednesday.
Dr. Yadav announced that a committee will be formed at the government level to address the demands raised by the Working Journalists’ Association for the welfare of journalists. This committee will include office-bearers of the association as well as administrative officials to resolve journalists' issues. He acknowledged the association as one of the oldest organizations working for the welfare of journalists. He also praised its president, Shri Shalabh Bhadauria, for his dedicated efforts in advocating for journalists' rights across the state.
The event was attended by Assembly Speaker Shri Tomar, MLA Shri Dinesh Gurjar, MP Shri Shivmangal Singh Tomar, Provincial President of the Working Journalists’ Association Shri Bhadauria, Shri Ashish Agarwal, former MLA Shri Balveer Dandotia, Gwalior-Chambal division in-charge Shri Suresh Sharma, program coordinator Shri Rajkumar Dubey, district president Shri Ramsharan Sharma, and journalists from across the state.
Assembly Speaker Shri Tomar remarked that journalists form the most aware community in a democracy. He highlighted that the Working Journalists’ Association is the oldest organization in Madhya Pradesh, actively working under Shri Shalabh Bhadauria’s leadership to safeguard journalists’ interests. He praised journalists for their dedication in ensuring that vital information reaches the masses with integrity.
