Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that journalism has greater responsibility to uphold truth and guide the society. He said that journalism has been a form of communication from Ramayan to Mahabharat be it Lord Hanuman's dialogues in Ramayan or Yaksha questions in Mahabharata. Communication and journalism have the power to magnify or deepen the impact of any event. He said, It is the responsibility of students pursuing journalism to remain alert, active, and dedicated to upholding ethical values and strengthening democracy through information dissemination. He added that the true spirit of journalism is to pursue truth.
The Chief Minister was addressing ‘Abhyuday 2025’, the orientation and inaugural program for the 2025–26 academic session of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism. Dr. Yadav lit the ceremonial lamp amid Vedic chants to inaugurate the program.
