Jammu, Feb 22 (Reporter) The players and members of the support staff of the Under-23 Women's team representing J&K in the Women's One Day Tournament being held at Trivandrum conducted by the Kerala Cricket Association under the aegis of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) were given a warm send-off at the Hostel Ground, JKCA Complex here. The team was introduced to Brig. Anil Gupta, Member Administration, and thereafter a group photograph was taken. While speaking to the players, Brig. Gupta impressed upon the need for a positive mindset of the players to face any team in the tournament and also to play full 50 overs. He complimented the Support Staff for taking adequate care of the team and providing them with sufficient practice during the last week in the camp held at JKCA complex. J&K team is placed in the Elite Group B and the other teams in the group are Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Mizoram, Goa, and Karnataka. The tournament is starting from March 5 when J&K will play Jharkhand in the opening match. The Sub-Committee JKCA has decided to send the team early to Trivandrum keeping in mind the climate variations between Jammu and Trivandrum. The team will acclimatize and carry out pre-match practice at Trivandrum from February 24 to March 2 till the other teams join up for the tournament. Foziya Jan, a player with a humble background who could not afford a personal kit was presented full kit along with a bat and cricket boots by the Association on the occasion. Foziya is the product of Talent Hunt 2024 and is a promising batter. The members of the Sub-Committee wished the team good luck and hoped that it would perform well and bring laurels to the UT. The team is led by Rudrakshi Chib and includes Ananya Sharma, Bawandeep Kaur, Chitra Singh, Madhu Devi, Lalita, Sehrish Tariq, Tahseena Nisar, Mariya Noorain, Arveen Riyaz, Foziya Jan, Sheena Saraf, Ronaq Jahan, Aditi Aryan and Maroof Anjum. Dr. Roopali Slathia, an ace Ex-Cricketer and a renowned Coach, is Head Coach of team. The other Members of the Support Staff include Jyoti Bala (Asst.
