J&K: VDG member found dead, jawan dies in accidental fire

Jammu, Dec 3 (Reporter) A member of Village Defence Guards (VDG) was found dead while an army soldier died in an accidental fire in two separate incidents in Udhampur and Kishtwar districts of Jammu and Kashmir. Police here on Tuesday said that a former VDG member was found dead in mysterious conditions along with his 303 rifle in Chapper forest area of Udhampur. The deceased was identified as Ashok Kumar (45). Police have taken the body in their possession for medico-legal formalities while a case has been registered and investigation started. Meanwhile one army soldier died in accidental fire incident in Chatroo area of Kishtwar district. Sepoy Satnam Singh, 24, resident of Jammu died on Monday night when the official weapon discharged accidentally. A case has been registered in this regard, said police...////...
