Jammu, Oct 19 (Reporter) In a significant blow to terror infrastructure, security forces have arrested two terrorists, involved in multiple terror attacks, during a joint operation led by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Surankote area of Poonch sector.
Army said that the joint operation carried out, based on intelligence inputs, on Friday that resulted in the arrest of two terrorists identified as Abdul Aziz and Manwar Hussain.
Security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition, and grenades from the suspects, disrupting their operational capabilities, Army said in a release.
It further said that this operation marks a crucial step in dismantling terror networks, as both individuals were involved in orchestrating terror activities, including grenade attacks on religious sites and hospitals, terror financing, anti-national propaganda, and arms smuggling.
"The recent arrests have weakened the logistical and operational networks of terror groups in the region, signaling a strong setback to their efforts," the release further said.
The Indian Army's swift and coordinated response, in collaboration with the Police, has not only ensured the safety of civilians but has also dealt a decisive blow to the terror ecosystem in the area, Army said, adding that this success follows last month’s arrest of another associate, underscoring the relentless efforts of the Indian Army and security forces to ensure peace and stability in the region...////...
