J&K sacks 6 govt employees, including five policemen for narco-terror links

Srinagar, Aug 3 (Reporter) Jammu and Kashmir government on Saturday terminated six more government employees including five policemen , on allegations of being involved in selling drugs to finance militancy in Kashmir and posing a threat to the security of the state. The employees were terminated under the Article 311 (2) (c) of the Constitution, which allows dismissal of a government employee without inquiry. The administration terminated the services of Farooq Ahmad Sheikh, a police Head constable, Khalid Hussain Shah, Rahmat Shah, Irshad Ahmad Chalkoo, Saif-u- Din- all police constables and a school teacher Nazam Din. Officials said the J&K Police had collected incriminating evidence against the six employees of being part of a narco-terror syndicate.
