Srinagar, Jan 26 (Reporter) In its continuing drive to eradicate the drug menace from the society, police arrested a person and recovered about 9.75kgs of Charas from his possession in Jammu Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Police said acting on specific information received through reliable sources, a police party conducted a successful operation in Sheikh Mohalla, during which two nylon sacks containing 9.75Kgs of charas powder-like substance was recovered from the house of one Mehraj Din Sheikh. The accused was arrested instantly, police said Accordingly, a case under under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pulwama and further investigation into the matter has been initiated.
