J&K Police attaches property of a terror associate in Sopore

Srinagar, Aug 23 (Reporter) Police on Friday attached property of a terror associate in Sopore township of Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Police said in a crackdown on terror associates, Police in Sopore attached a single storied residential house belonging to a terror associate Abdul Rashid Najar a resident of Naseem Bagh Krankshivan along with land measuring Kanal and 1 marla falling under khsara No. 237/1 in estate Amargarh Sopore. “The attachment was executed under the provisions of Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, after receiving approval from the competent authority”, Police said. The attachment has been made in a case registered under Sections 13, 18, 18B, 19, 20, 23, 39 UA(P) Act, 7/25 Arms Act, and 4/5 Explosives Substances of Police Station Sopore. “This action reaffirms the commitment of the Police to combat terrorism and disrupt the support structures that enable these nefarious activities”, police said and added“ by targeting the assets of terror associates, the authorities aim to undermine their ability to fund and facilitate terrorist operations”.
