J&K Police attach properties of 7 absconding terrorists operating from PoK and Pakistan

Jammu, Nov 28 (Reporter) In a major breakthrough against terror networks, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday successfully attached the properties of seven absconding terrorists currently operating from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan. The decisive action is part of an intensified crackdown on terrorism and underscores J&K Police’s commitment to dismantling terror infrastructure. Kishtwar SSP Javaid Iqbal Mir stated that the attachment of these properties follows meticulous investigation and intelligence inputs. In an FIR registered under relevant sections at Police Station Kishtwar, a groundwork was laid for the action, he said adding that the report of investigation, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police and Vishal Sharma, Chief Investigating Officer, was presented before the NIA Special Court, Doda. Earlier, 36 terrorists from Kishtwar operating from PoK and Pakistan were declared absconders by the NIA Court, Doda. Among these, seven terrorists had their properties identified for attachment as part of the legal proceedings. After reviewing the evidence, the SSP said that the Judge NIA Special Court, Doda Sudesh Sharma, issued attachment orders and following the same, Special Team comprising of senior officers accompanied by Executive Magistrates was costituted to execute the orders. The attached properties have been marked with signboards to notify the general public and the properties of those attached are Shahnawaz Ahmed of Chirool Padyarna, Bashir Ahmed Mughal of Jugna Keshwan, Gazi-ud-Din of Jugna Balna Keshwan, Sattar Din Jugna Keshwan, Imtiyaz Ahmed of Banderna, Kishtwar, Muzaffer Ahmed of Semna Colony Zewar, Kishtwar and Javid Hussain Giri of Kundali Pochal. ADGP Jammu Zone, Anand Jain disclosed that properties of 29 additional absconding terrorists have been identified. The process for their attachment is underway and will be completed shortly, further tightening the noose around terror operatives. ADGP Jammu reaffirmed that such actions are part of a broader strategy aimed at dismantling the terror ecosystem, ensuring that no asset is used to fund or support anti-national activities. Issuing a strong warning, he emphasized that those harbouring anti-national intentions or providing any support to terrorists will face severe consequences. The top cop urged citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement agencies by reporting any suspicious activity.
