Srinagar, Dec 12 (Reporter) Police on Thursday said that they have solved a theft case by arresting five accused persons involved in the commission of a crime and recovered stolen livestock in Sopore township of Jammu Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Police Warpora received a complaint from one Fayaz Ahmad War, a resident of Warpora Sopore regarding the theft of his livestock (4 cows) from his cow shed.
Upon receipt of the complaint, a case was registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Sopore and investigation was initiated.
On the directions of Superintendent of Police Sopore, Divya a Special Investigation Team(SIT) was constituted who after strenuous efforts and with the help of technical inputs, arrested a person identified as Manzoor Ahmad War a resident of Raj Mohalla Warpora.
“During the investigation, War confessed that he had committed the crime along with four others”, police said.
The other accused persons have been identified as Mohammad Shafi Lone, Bilal Ahmad Malik both the residents of Raj Mohalla Warpora, Ashiq Hussain Lone, and Mohammad Asif Bhat residents of Zyootmulla Bandipora.
All the accused have been arrested and on their disclosure, two cows have been recovered from their possession and a vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Further investigation of the case is going on, and more recoveries are expected, police added...////...
